debt
RunsWithKnife asked:

I owe about $12,000 in credit card debt and I wanted to make that my year’s goal to pay it off, but a lot of the websites I find require that you own a home, or charge a huge interest for someone to “negotiate” with your creditors to bring down interest. Does anyone know of a good resource where I can just consolidate the debt and make one reasonable payment?

Amy B asked:

Does the size of the government’s debt and the size of the budget deficit indicate potential problems for the economy in any of these cases?

1. The government’s debt is relatively low, but the government is running a large budget deficit as it builds a high-speed rail system to connect the major cities of the nation.
2. The government’s debt is relatively high due to a recently ended deficit-financed war, but the government is now running only a small budget deficit.
3. The government’s debt is relatively low, but the government is running a budget deficit to finance the interest payments on the debt.

I have a collection from a finance company. That collection is listed as sold on my credit file. When the company sells a debt, does that date of the statute of limitation restart when the buying company recieves, or is it the original date. Basically, will it be on my file for 7 years, from when the debt was incurred, or 7 years from when it was sold to the second company.
